Adults 18 years and older may qualify for a study evaluating an investigational once-weekly study medication for weight management in individuals with obesity or overweight without type 2 diabetes.

About the Study

Researchers are studying new medications that may help support weight loss and improve overall metabolic health. 

This research study is evaluating an investigational study medication called RO7795068 (also known as CT-388). The purpose is to assess whether this medication can help reduce body weight and improve health outcomes in adults with obesity or overweight who do not have type 2 diabetes. 

Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either RO7795068 or placebo. The study medication is given as a once-weekly injection, in addition to guidance on diet and physical activity.  

Qualifications

Qualifications 

  • You may be able to join if you: 
  • Are 18 years of age or older. 
  • Have obesity (BMI ≥30), or are overweight (BMI ≥27) with at least one weight-related health condition (such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or prediabetes).  
  • Have previously tried to lose weight through diet or exercise without long-term success.  
  • Are willing to attend study visits and follow study procedures for the duration of the study. 
  • Do not have a diagnosis of type 1 or type 2 diabetes.  
  • Are not currently pregnant or breastfeeding.
