Adults with type 2 diabetes who have not achieved adequate blood sugar control despite multiple treatments may qualify for a research study evaluating an investigational oral medication targeting cortisol-related metabolic dysfunction.
Adults with type 2 diabetes who have not achieved adequate blood sugar control despite multiple treatments may qualify for a research study evaluating an investigational oral medication targeting cortisol-related metabolic dysfunction.
This research study is evaluating an investigational medication called clofutriben, which works by inhibiting an enzyme involved in cortisol regulation. By reducing the effects of excess cortisol, this therapy may help improve blood sugar control and overall metabolic health.
The purpose of this study is to better understand how well this medication works compared to placebo (inactive treatment), and to evaluate its safety in people with type 2 diabetes and elevated cortisol levels.
