About the Study
Researchers are conducting a Phase 2 clinical research study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and effectiveness of an investigational medication called SPT-300 in adults with Major Depressive Disorder, with or without anxious distress. Participants will receive either the investigational medication or a placebo (a capsule that contains no active medication) in a 1:1 ratio.
Qualifications
You May Qualify If You:
- Are 18 to 65 years of age
- Have a primary diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
- Are currently experiencing a depressive episode that has lasted at least 4 weeks, but no longer than 18 months
- Have a history of recurrent depression
- Are willing to attend weekly study visits and complete study procedures
