Frequently Asked Questions

Will I continue taking my antidepressant?

Yes. Participants remain on their current eligible antidepressant throughout the initial study period.

Will everyone receive the investigational medication?

No. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either investigational medication or placebo during the double-blind portion of the study.

Eligible participants may later enter an optional open-label extension.

What is placebo?

A placebo looks like the investigational medication but contains no active medication. Placebos help researchers compare treatments fairly and accurately.

Compensation for time and travel is available. Ask the study team for details.

Can I leave the study?

Yes. Participation is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time.
