Important COVID-19 Updates for Our Patients!

We’ve been thinking of you! We are delighted to let you know we have responsibly reopened our practice fully to resume seeing our patients for regularly scheduled appointments and treatment.

At Suburban Research Associates (SRA), safety is our top priority. As efforts concerning the containment of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) expand and evolve here in the U.S and around the world, we want to assure you we are focused on three things:

• Ensuring the safety of our patients, employees, and our community
• Continuing to provide exceptional service to our patients.
• Supporting local efforts to limit the spread and impact of COVID-19.

We invite you to visit our practice with confidence, knowing your safety remains our top priority. Our team has had additional training to ensure our processes meet or exceed sanitation and sterilization standards of care, and we have elevated our infection control procedures in accordance with O.S.H.A. and CDC guidelines to protect you and our team.

COVID-19 Mitigation Policies

General Facility

1. COVID-19 sanitation protocol and local social distancing plans are in effect throughout the office.
2. The office is cleaned and disinfected daily. Bathrooms, exam rooms, and the waiting area (tables and seating) are cleaned and sanitized after EVERY use. Air filtration systems with UV light have been placed on both floors of the office for added protection and sanitation.
3. The waiting area chairs have been distanced at least six feet apart. This area is monitored by our administrative site manager or other designated staff.
4. All efforts have been made by our team to minimize wait time in the waiting area.

Staff Mitigation Process

1. All staff members working on-site will take the following precautions prior to coming to the office and will report to their corresponding manager if they have:

a. Any of the following symptoms: temperature 100°F or greater, coughing, shortness of breath, or any flu-like symptoms.
b. Had contact with an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 72 hours.
c. A pending or positive COVID-19 lab result.

2. Any staff member arriving to the office with the symptoms listed above will be asked to go home. They can discuss return to work with their corresponding manager after their temperature is below 100°F for 72 consecutive hours without aid from fever reducers.
3. Staff members are expected to follow the latest CDC guidance at the link.
4. All staff members on-site are required to wear a face mask or covering when working with other staff or completing study participant visits.
5. Face shields are required when completing procedures, like physical exam, ECG, blood work, or vitals, that require a staff member to be closer than six feet to a study participant.
6. Staff members are encouraged to wear gloves during study participant visits and wash their hands regularly.

Pre-Screening Study Participant Mitigation Process

All pre-screening visits are conducted remotely, via telephone.

Participants who qualify for a study will be scheduled for an on-site screening visit. They are advised to contact a staff member to reschedule their visit, if they have experienced any of the following:

a. Temperature of 100°F or greater anytime within the previous seven days.
b. Coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath, or any flu-like symptoms.
c. Close contact or exposure to an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 72 hours.

Study Participant Mitigation Process

1. All study participants are called or texted the day before their appointment.

2. Study participants are also asked to arrive on-site 10 minutes prior to their appointment for a brief health screening. If it is determined by a staff member that a participant has had any of the former, they are asked to leave the site and re-schedule their visit.
3. All study participants are asked to wear facial coverings to their on-site appointments. They are provided with a mask if they do not arrive to the office wearing a mask.
4. Remote visits are offered to study participants only when study protocol allows.
5. Appointment times are now staggered, and timeframes limited for your visit. This is to minimize the number of people in the office at one time. Participants who arrive late to their appointments may be asked to reschedule.

Sponsor or CRO Monitors/Staff Mitigation Process

1. Our office is accommodating both remote and on-site monitoring visits at this time.
2. All sponsor/CRO staff are asked to wear facial coverings to their on-site monitoring visits. They are provided with a mask if they do not arrive to the office wearing a mask.
3. All sponsor/CRO staff will also undergo a brief health screening upon arrival to the site. Guests are asked to leave the site and re-schedule their visit if it is determined by a SRA staff member that a guest has had any of the following:

a. Temperature of 100°F or greater anytime within the previous seven days.
b. Coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath, or any flu-like symptoms.
c. Close contact or exposure to an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 72 hours.
